Awards & Recognition
- PFGF Awards: Details about the PFGF awards will be available on https://www.pfgf.org/awards.php. Interested applicants are requested to visit PFGF website or contact Secretary, PFGF for further updates. PFGF award ceremony will be held during inaugural function of IFO-2027.
- Young Fisheries Talent Search Award: Undergraduate students (B.F.Sc) are invited to actively participate in the conference by showcasing their innovative ideas through posters or models. Submissions can be made individually or in groups (maximum of two students per group). All participating students will be provided reimbursement of sleeper class train fare by the shortest route.
- Young Scientist Award (2025 & 2026): It is designed to provide a platform for AssistantProfessor/Scientist/SMS from ICAR/SAUs/CAUs to present their research achievements.Maximum age limit for participation is 40 years. Detailed guidelines and applicationprocedures will be available on the IFO-2027 website. After pre-screening by eminent juries,best 10 entries will be invited for presentation during IFO-2027. Based on score card andpresentation, best researcher will be awarded with:
- Dr. P. V. Dehadrai Best Indian Young Scientist Award in Fisheries Science
- Women Scientist Oration Award: The national-level scientific oration aims to provide a platform for women researchers from ICAR/SAUs/CAUs to present their research contributions and innovative findings. The competition will be conducted in two categories: (i) Faculty Category (Professor/Scientist/SMS) and (ii) Student Category (Ph.D. Scholar/RA/SRF). The top three presenters in each category will be awarded with memento and certificates.
- Masters & Doctoral Thesis Award: It is aimed to recognize best M.F.Sc. and Ph.D thesis in Fisheries science at National level. Applicants should have completed his/ her M.F.Sc./Ph.D degree between 01.01.2026 to 31.02.2026. Based on screening, top 5 entries in each category will be invited for presentation during IFO-2027 and sleeper class fares through shortest route will be provided. Best researchers will be awarded with:
- Dr. S. Ayyappan Gold Medal for Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis in Fisheries Science – 2026
- Dr. V R P Sinha Gold Medal for Outstanding Master’s Thesis in Fisheries Science –2026
- Best Poster and Oral Presentation Award: Based on evaluation by an expert panel, top threebest poster and oral presentations in each theme will be awarded memento and certificates during the valedictory session of IFO-2027.
